Steel sheet pile sale, on the other hand, is suitable for long-term construction projects or for those who require ownership of the sheet piles. The customer purchases the sheet piles and is responsible for their maintenance and storage.

Methods & Working Tools
The methods and working tools for the implementation of driving & extracting steel sheet pile are divided into two methods:
1.Vibro driving & Extracting
The system and working method for driving and extracting is using a vibro tool which is operated by an Excavator or Mobile Crane. For driving & extracting steel sheet pile on land, a Vibro hammer is usually hung from a Mobile crane, but with the advancement of pile driving techniques, driving & extracting is now using an Excavator combined with a Vibro hammer at the end of its boom. With this modification, the driving & extracting steel sheet pile work can be faster and save time and operational costs. Work on the water requires auxiliary equipment commonly known as a Pontoon, which is a small barge that can withstand the weight of the Excav Vibro/Mobile Crane Vibro when performing work on the water.
2. Manual driving & Extracting
Manual driving & extracting steel sheet pile can be performed both on land and on water. This method is still performed in projects in rural areas with simple tools to save project budgets, and is still used by local contractors for driving & extracting steel sheet pile work on land. A modified Labran/Tripod tool with a winch and a drop hammer could serve as a substitute instead of an Excav Vibro/Crane Vibro as a driving and extracting tool.
To perform work on water, a Labran pontoon attached to drums could serve as a base on the water in lieu of the use for a segmental pontoon (steel pontoon) as the weight of the tool is significantly lighter compared to the Excav Vibro/Crane Vibro. However, time-wise this method still cannot compare to the swiftness an Excav Vibro/Crane Vibro can operate. This manual method as well exposes the steel sheet pile to damage when using a hammer attached to a tripod.
